Representation at International and National Regulatory Bodies

Advocate for members at the International Maritime Organization (IMO), the United Nations Sub-Committee of Experts on the Transport of Dangerous Goods (UNCOE), and the Joint Meeting of RID Committee of Experts (RID/ADR/ADN). This representation saves member companies tens of thousands of dollars annually by preventing impractical or overly restrictive regulations before they are incorporated into the UN Model Regulations or the IMDG Code. Members receive detailed IMO and UN reports before and after each session.
Representation at the US DOT, US Coast Guard, Transport Canada, and other regulatory agencies. IVODGA submits comments and petitions to influence rulemaking and avoid burdensome regulations before they become law.
