International Vessel Operators Group Launches Hazardous Materials/Dangerous Goods Online Training Website

The International Vessel Operators Hazardous Materials Association, Inc. (VOHMA) has launched their online Hazardous Materials/Dangerous Goods training website - www.dgtrainingonline.com. The Online Training will assist companies in meeting their hazardous materials/dangerous goods training needs. Although face-to-face events are more favorable, online training is a cost effective alternative when budgets are tight, travel is limited, and resources are scarce.

The US Department of Transportation requires that all hazmat employees be trained within 90 days of starting employment and must receive recurrent training at least every three years. Job changes and regulatory amendments may require retraining.

The International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) General Awareness training is the first online training offered by VOHMA. At only $35 per person, this is an economical solution to meeting your training needs. VOHMA plans to release the following additional online training programs soon: IMDG General Awareness Training Program for Non-DG Personnel and Function Specific IMDG training program.
